The Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion is situated in Chalmers Street, Edinburgh, just off Lauriston Place.
The surrounding area is known as the Quartermile, also locally known as where "the Old Royal" used to exist – this refers to the site of the old Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, before the hospital relocated to the Little France area of Edinburgh in 2003.
The Eye Pavilion did not move with the Royal Infirmary and has been in Chalmers Street since opening in 1969.
The Eye Pavilion is open 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Please note: The Eye Pavilion does not have a "walk-in" clinic. For urgent sight-threatening problems we have our Acute Referral Clinic, which is a referral only clinic, i.e. you must have a letter from your GP requesting urgent treatment.
Many buses pass directly along Lauriston Place including Lothian Buses No. 23, 27, 35, 45 & 47.
